In the Binchois game, players are given a copy of an early fifteenth-century song with the final bars omitted (see below, scores and recordings in the left-hand column). The challenge is to correctly guess the pitch of the final. When playing the game, decide on the pitch of the final before hearing any of the alternative endings provided in the right-hand column: use these only to verify, in retrospect,if the choice feels right.
